I found this Venn diagram on LinkedIn the other day:

It brought back some very fond memories of jobs I loved. Times where I felt very engaged, worked tirelessly, smiled on the way into the office and felt accomplished at the end of the day.
That’s where I want to work. It may be a full-time job with a company, or a consulting career. The intersection of satisfying, interesting and fun. That’s something I’ll want to do every day.
The soul-sucking days of office politics are over for me. That’s something I’ll never do again.
A connection offered to refer me for a VP position today. I declined.
That’s who I was.
I had an appointment today that I assumed was a meet and greet. It turned into an engaging two-hour conversation about turbo-charging a local company’s content. I loved it.
That’s who I am.
You may think I’ve lost my mind.
I think I’ve found it.
